FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK LI 1990 p. 33-35 Thysanoptera of St Lucia By G. JENSER and S. NAKAHARA (Received January 9, 1990) ABSTRACT: Twenty-two species of thrips (Thysanoptera) are recorded from St. Lucia, and insular country in the West Indies. Collection data and world distribution are presented for each species. Twenty-two species are recorded here from St. Lucia, an insular country in the West Indies. The records are based mainly on the collections made by Dr. S. Mahunka and L. Mahunka-Papp, Hungarian Natural History Museum, during 11-20 July 1980. In the following list their names as collectors are not repeated. These collections are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum in Budapest . Additional records are based on material deposited in the Thysanoptera collection of the United States Museum of Natural History (USNM) located at Beltsville, Maryland, and those reported by Pitkin (1977) and Sakimura (1986). The distribution data given for each species are based on the works of Priesner (1960), Jacot-Guillarmod (1970, 1971, 1974, 1979), Ritchie (1974), Mound (1974), Wilson (1975), Pitkin (1976), Sakimura (1986), and specimens deposited in the USNM.
