FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK LI 1990 p. 31-32 Some new data to the Scutacarid fauna of Bulgaria (Acari: Tarsonemina) By D. D. DOBREV (Received Mai 15, 1990) ABSTRACT: Twenty scutacarid mites are listed from Bulgaria. All new for this region. The scutacarid fauna of Bulgaria is practically unknown, because only two species were described by Storkán (1936) as new for science. The Arachnoida collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum houses a very rich soil sample material from different regions including Bulgaria. I have to thank Dr. S. Mahunka for the opportunity to study the scutacarid mites of these samples. I have also collected some samples from Bulgaria . After the preparation of the various materials I was able to identify many Scutacaridae species. In the subsequent list I discuss these interesting species which are new to the fauna of Bulgaria . This material .is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest .
