Meteorus hirsutipes Huddleston, 1980 - So far known on the basis of the type series from Germany, Finland and Ireland. New to the fauna of Yugoslavia. Its occurrence in Hungary is to be expected. Locality - VI/3 (Croatia) (det . Huddleston): 1 g: Krapina . Meteorus ictericus (Nees, 1812) - Frequent to common in the Palaearctic Region. In the Carpathian Basin common in the lowland district 1/1 , in other districts less frequent. In Hungary bred from the following caterpillar species (in brackets the months of breeding are indicated): Adoxophyes orana FR. (VIl) , A, reticulana Hbn . (v-VI , ix), Archips podana Scop. (IV), A. rosana L. (IV), Dichomeris margina F. (Vi) , Grapholita molesta Busck . , Recurvaria leucatella C] (V-Vl), R. nanella Hbn. (V) and Spilonota ocellana F. (V-VI.)- On the basis of two males M. heliophilus Fischer was reported from the Kiskunság National Park (Papp 1987a); after reidentification the two specimens proved to be M.ictericus Localities - 1/1: 19 localities. - II/l : 4 localities. - J.I/2: 5 local­ities. - III/l (Slovakia): 1 o: Bártfa (= Bardejov), Lamavisko."! g: Alacsony Tátra, Brëzrio, Zálomy, 600-700 m. - III/3-5 (Transylvania): 1 $ + 1 Déva (= Deva). 1 g: Kecsed (= Alunis). 1 g~~Nägyenyed (= Aiud). -.. New to the fauna of Hun­gary. Localities - II/2: 1 g: Szilvásvárad, Gerennavár. - VI/1: 1 6~: Komló,Mán­fa, Mélyvölgy. - VIÏ~and IX. Meteorus micropterus (Haliday, 1835) - Known from Germany, Great Britain and Ireland. New to the fauna of Czechoslovakia. Its occurrence in Hungary is to be expected. Localities - III/l (Slovakia): 1 S: Branyiszkó. 1 5~: Tátralomnic (= Tat­ranská Lomnice) . - VIII-IX. Meteorus obfuscatus (Nees, 1812) - Reported from seven countries of Eu­rope (France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Sweden, Yugoslavia; USSR: Sochi), Relatively frequent in Hungary. Localities - I/l: 1 g: Borosjenő (= Ineu, Transylvania). 1 o + 1 6": Kalo­csa. - 1/2: 2 6: PápaT - II/l: 1 <?: Budajenő. - II/2: 1 o: Nógradszakál. ­VI/1: l~g~ Pécs, Misina.- IV-V~and VII. Meteorus oculatus Ruthe, 1862 - Hitherto reported from three European countries: Germany, Hungary and Sweden. A rare species. Localities - II/l: 2 g: Budapest, Hűvösvölgy. 2 g: Nagykovácsi, Hársbo­korhegy. 1 g: Pilisszentkereszt, Dobogókő. - V-VI. M eteorus pulchricornis (Wesmael, 1835) - Widely distributed in the Palae­arctic Region. A variable species considering its colour and sculpture (of ter­gites 1-2), the variability is indicated by its seven synonymous names. In Hun­gary somewhat less frequent. Localities - 1/1: 1 Őrszentmiklós. - 11/2: 11 g + 2 df: Buják 10 July 1985, ex Lymantria 5ispar L. 20 July-10 August~1985, leg. et educ.K. Leskó. 1 o: Háromhuta, Istvánkút. 1 g: Nagyvisnyó, Leány-völgy.. - III/3 (Transylvania) 1 ö: "Retyezát" = M^ii Retezat . - VI/2: 1 g + 2 Sellye~15 July 1983, ex Lymantria dispar L. 15 July - 30 VIII~Ï983, leg. et educ. K. Leskó. - VIII. Meteorus rubens (Nees, 1812) - In Hungary a common species and bred from the following caterpillar hosts (in brackets the months of breeding are indi­cated): Adoxophyes orana FR. (Tortricidae) (iv), Euxoa temera Hbn. (Noctuidae) (v) and Lymantria dispar L. (Lymantriidae) (VI). Localities - I/l: 27 localities. - II/l: 8 localities. - H/2: 5 local­ities. - III/l (Slovakia) - II 1/2 and III/4-ÏII/5 (Transylvania)"" 5 localities. YI/2: 1 locality. - IV-IX, most frequent in July. Meteorus rubens var. leviventris (Wesmael, 1835) - In Hungary bred from the following caterpillar species (in brackets the month of breeding): Euxoa temera Hbn. (Noctuidae) (?V), Mamestra brassicae L. (Noctuidae) (?V) and Scotia segetum Den. et Schiff. (Noctuidae) (vili).
