ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK L 1989 p. 95-104 Contributions to the braconid wasps of Greenland, Denmark (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) By J. PAPP (Received February 16, 1969) Abstract: Contributions to the braconid wasps of Greenland, Denmark (Hymenoptera, Braconidae) - Five species are recorded from Greenland of which two are new to science: Cotesia elinlae sp. n. and Meteorus arcticus sp. n. Collecting and faunistic data are presented for every species. A checklist is compiled of the braconid species occurring in the eastern boreal-polar subregion of the Nearctics. With 26 original figures. INTRODUCTION The braconid fauna of Greenland Island species were reported (Marsh 1979) which are betical order of the genera: Aleiodes borealis (Thomson, 1891) Alysia manducator (Panzer, 1799) Cotesia halli (Packard, 1877) Glyptapanteles fulvipes (Haliday, 1834) (Denmark) is poorly known. Up to now eight subsequently listed according to the alphaHormius moniliatus Nees, 1812 Meteorus rubens (Nees, 1812) = Perilitus islandicus Ruthe, 1859 Microplitis coactus Lundbeck, 1896 mediator (Haliday, 1834 Every species except Cotesia halli is distributed in the Palaearctic Region where they are frequent to common. Microplitis coactus was described from Greenland and later reported from Iceland (its further uncertain datum is "Nordasien" by Fahringer 1937: 274). Cotesia halli was the first species which was discovered in and described from Greenland (from "Polaris Bay") and later listed in Northwestern Territories of Canada, consequently this is the only species distributed in the Nearctic Region. It seems reasonable to give a synopsis of the braconid species known from the eastern Boreal-Polar Subregion of Canada within the Nearctic Region, namely from the Baffin Island, Labrador Peninsula and New Foundland Island (Marsh I.e.): Baffin Island: Glyptapanteles compressiventris (Muesebeck, 1921) Macrocentrus innuitorum Walley, 1936 Phanomeris borealis Walley, 1936 Phanomeris propinqus Walley, 19 36 Labrador Peninsula: Meteorus tauricornis (Provancher, 1880) Opius labradorensis Fischer, 1970 Orgilus arcticus Muesebeck, 1970 Orgilus citus Muesebeck, 1970 Orgilus invictus Muesebeck, 1970 Phaenocarpa angustifossa Fischer, 1975
