An Oriental species, distributed from the Himalaya Range, S China and Japan to New Guifiea, inhabits lowland forests and more or less disturbed habitats. Its taxonomic relegation is doubtful, by the genital characteristics is more close to the members of the genus Thysanoplusia. X. 1988, leg. Mahunka, Oláh and Vásárhelyi. The distribution of this species is similar to that of the preceding one; new to the fauna of Vietnam.
