Nos 7207 (holotype) and 7210-7215 (paratypes*. 4 paratypes '1 <j> + 3 66) are deposited in the French Polar Institute, Amiens (France). The new species, Cotesia eliniae sp. n., is dedicated to her collector, Mle Dr. Dominique Elin (AmienB). The new species, Cotesia eliniae sp. n., is related to C. flaviconchae (Riley, 1881), C. melanoscelus (Ratzeburg, 1844) and C. aeteblB (Nixon, 1974*. The females can be distinguished by the following key (C. halli Packard and C. yakutatensls Ashmead are reported from Greenland, therefore the two species are also considered in the key): 1 (8) Third tergite weakly and at most anteriorly roughened to rugulose or smooth, in all cases shiny. 2 (5) Third tergite smooth and shiny. 3 (4) First tergite broadest before its hind end, second tergite transverse, 2. 5-2. 6 times as broad at its hind margin as long medially (Fig. 22). Penultimate joint of antenna 1. 3-1. 5 times as long as broad. Notaulix indicated by dense rugulosity. Hind femur and tergites black. Pterostigma brown with a faint pale basal spot. c-<*>: 3. 1-3.2 mm. Canada (Northwestern Territories), Greenland (Denmark) C. halli (Packard, 1877) 4 (3) First tergite broadest at its hind end, second tergite less transverse, 2-2.2 times as broad at its hind margin as long medially (Fig. 2 3). Penultimate joint of antenna 1. 61. 8 times as long as broad. Notaulix indicated by crowded punc tation. Hind femur reddish yellow and apically darkening or (almost) entirely black. Pterostigma brown, light brown to yellowish. y6: 3 mm. - USA (Alaska too), Canada (Quebec), Green* and C. yakutatensls (Ashmead, 1902) 5 (2) Third tergite on its fore half with posteriorly weakening sculpture. 6 (7) Inner spur of hind tibia distinctly longer than outer spur and longer than half of basitarsus. Pterostigma narrow, 3-3.5 times as long as wide (cf. Fig. 18). Mesonotum dull and notaulix indicated by dense rugulosity. Wings slightly more fumous compared to next species. y6: 2.7-3 mm. - Europe C. setebis (Nixon, 1974) 7 (6) Inner spur of hind tibia less distinctly longer than outer spur and half as long as basitarsus. Pterostigma less narrow, 2-2.2 times as long as wide (Fig. 24). Mesonotum subshiny and notaulix indicated by more or less crowded punctation. Wings less fumous compared to previous species. <^6: 2.8-3 mm. - USA C. flaviconchae (Riley, 1881) 8 (1) Third tergite antero-posteriorly rugo-rugulose , dull. 9 (10) Pair of hind tibial spurs unequal in length, inner spur distinctly longer than outer spur and clearly longer than half of basitarsus (Fig. 17). Pterostigma narrow, three times as long as wide and issuing radial vein conspicuously distally from its middle;
