Inner spur of hind tibia distinctly longer than half basitarsus, a fea­ture characteristic to both species: A. rubecula and A. rubripes. - Distribution: Europe, up to now in the USSR not taken (Tobias 1986). In Hungary rather rare, known from six localities. Apanteles ruficrus (Haliday, 1834) (= antipoda Ashmead, 1900; = manilae Ashmead, 1904; = narangae Viereck, 1913) - The two species (A. plutellae and A. ruficrus) are very similar to each other, they specific distinction is given under the former species. - Distri­bution: Cosmopolitan; originally (and supposedly) a European or Palaearctic species which was introduced and spread by man all over the world. In Hungary a less frequent species. In Hungary a rare species. New to the fauna of Hungary. Apanteles saltator (Thunberg, 1822) - Mesonotum with sharp punctation, interspaces subshiny to shiny. Penultimate joint of antenna about twice as long as broad, rl distinctly longer than cuqul. A. saltatorius Balevski is very similar to this species, their distinction see under that species. - Distribution: Widely distributed in the western Palaearctic Region.
