not transverse. Elytra elongate, practically not widening posteriorly; surface with dispersed, low protuberances; apex simple; inner margin of epipleura reaching apex. Legs long and slender; inner margin of tibiae practically unarmed. Thoracal and visible abdominal sterna without outgrowths; last (= fifth) abdominal sternite emarginate apically; sternite VI strongly modified, forming 2 lobiform and 2 forceps-shaped processes. <j>. Eyes much smaller; interocular distance broader; antennae shorter; segment XI shorter than 2 preceding segments combined; pronotum slightly transverse; abdominal sterna V and VI not modified. Type species: Kaindilagria forcipata sp. n., by present designation. Remarks: This genus may easily be distinguished from all other genera by the peculiar structure of abdominal sternite VI, the strongly elongate body and the papillate surface of elytra. Kaindilagria forcipata sp. n. (Figs 25-28) Head, pronotum, scutellum and elytra brown with bronzy tinge; head and pronotal disc somewhat darker; ventral surface paler reddish brown; antennae dark brown, apex and base of segments I to X paler; legs pale reddish brown, femora somewhat darker subapically; dorsal surface with denser, ventral surface with sparser pubescence. Length: 7.5-8.5 mm. 25 26 27 Figs 25-27. 25= Abdominal apex of Kaindilagria forcipata gen. et sp. n., S, in somewhat drawn-out condition. - 26-27= Aedeagus of K. forcipata gen. et sp. n., ventral view (26) and lateral view (27) 6*. Head transverse, much broader than pronotum, densely and coarsely punctate; with, sparse, long hairs; eyes very large, prominently convex; EI= 15: 6; antennae as long as 2/3 of body length; segment length ratios: 16:7; 11: 11: 10: 11: 11.5: 11.5: 12: 11: 28; segment I longer than half the distance between antennái sockets. Pronotum about of same length and width, widest at base, sides converging in straight line, weakly constricted just posterior to the middle; surface uneven, highest centrally; punctures coarse, well separated; pubescence
