S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 47/1-2. (Budapest, 1986)

Material examined: Holotypus (1186-HO-74): No. 74; 2 paratypes: from the same sample. Holotypus and 1 paratype (1186-PO-86) deposited in the HNHM + and 1 paratype in: MHNG.** Remarks: The species belonging to the genus Arcoppia Hammer, 1977 may well be divided into two groups by the form of the sensillus. The new species belongs to the group which is characterized by the simple, non-dilate, pectinate sensillus. It stands nearest to A. machadoi (Balogh, 1958) and A. tenuiseta (Wallwork, 1961), however, it is distinguished from both species by the granulate lamellar region, from tenuiseta by the much shorter adanal setae and the position of setae ad^; from machadoi by the rounded discidium (it is sharply pointed in machadoi ).
