FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK XLVII. 1-2 1986 p. 77-102 Studies on the Oribatid fauna of Kenya (Acari: Oribatida) II. By S. MAHUNKA (Received March 1, 1986) Abstract: The description of 11 Oribatid species from Kenya is given; further, some notes on known species are presented. Also correction of some nomenclatorial errors are elucidated, as the homonymy of Plesiodamaeus ornatus and Zygoribatula undulata . In the first part of this series of papers I started to survey the Oribatids collected in Kenya. The present contribution gives the description of 11 new species and some corrections concerning nomenclatorial errors in connection with a few African species. Similarly complementary descriptions are presented of some already known species. 1. Plesiodamaeus perezinigoi nom. nov. for P. ornatus Mahunka, 1979 nec P. ornatus PérezInigó, 1972. It is a homonymy, for the junior homonym I suggest the above new species name. 2. Zygoribatula baloghi nom. nov. for Z. undulata Balogh, 1966 nec Z. undulata Berlese, 1916. It is a homonymy, for the junior homonym I suggest the above new species name. List of localities No. 11. Ukunda, between the shore and main road 17. DC. 1985.-Berlese-, Nematoda- and Tardigrada-samples from thin litter and humus of bushes. Stony soil. No. 74. Tsavo National Park, Ngulia Lodge. 28.IX. 1985. - Sifted material from litter and dry decaying stumps. Description of the species Arcoppia granulata sp.n. Measurements. - Length: 256-2 75 um, width: 124-132 p.m. Prodorsum: Rostrum tripartite, median cuspis shorter than the two lateral ones. Rostral setae arising on the dorsal surface, but far from each other. Ratio of the prodorsal setae: ro> in> le^ = ex. Prodorsal surface with a characteristic sculpture, costulae weakly developed, basal part gradually disappearing, only transversal costula present. A pair of well-developed, anteriorly arching ridges also present, they run parallel with the lateral margin of prodorsum (Fig. 1). Between the two ridges some spots present and this regien well granulate. Exobothridial region also granulate, but between the two granulate regions the surface is smooth (Fig. 4). Sensillus pectinate, with five branches, becoming gradually shorter distally. Basal part of prodorsum
