Anogenital region: Genital aperture narrow, well framed by a fine line. Genital setae simple, short, all others comparatively long and pectinately ciliate like those on notogaster. A strong well­chitinized projection present behind anal aperture (Fig. 66), setae adj arising on it. Material examined: Holotypus (1133-HO-72): No.P. 12, 2 paratypes from the same sample. Holotypus and 1 paratype (1133-PO-85) deposited in the HNHM and 1 paratype in the MHNG. Remarks: The new species stands very far from all heretofore known Oppiidae taxa. I dedicate the new species to my wife. Monogalumnella gen.n. Diagnosis: Family Galumnellidae. Rostral part of prodorsum broadened laterally like eaves, rostrum lanceolate in dorsal view. Ten pairs of minute notogastral setae present, neither areae porosae nor sacculi present on notogaster. Strong epimeral neotrichy, epimeral setal formula: 8-6-4-6. Sternal plate with a sharp median crest. Anogenital setal formula: 6-1-2-3. Lyrifissure iad absent! Anal and genital plates framed. Circumpedal carina well developed. All legs mono­dactylous.
