Rugoppia gen.n. Diagnosis: Family Cppiidae. Prodorsum elongated, rostral apex beak-shaped, without incisure or hollow. Rostral setae simple. Costulae short, prodorsum with complicated structure. Interlamel­lar setae arising much nearer to interlamellar than to rostral ones. Sensillus pectinate. Two pairs of crusts and some wrinkles present in the dorsosejugal region. Lyrifissure is originating on the dorsal surface of notogaster. Nine pairs of true notogastral setae, setae ta represented only by alveoli. Apodemes 4 weakly developed, originating behind genital aperture. Anogenital setal formula: 6-1-2-3. Setae ad^ in postanal, adg in preanal, lyrifissure iad in adanal position. Type species: Rugoppia luisiae sp.n.
