joint 2 longer than broad (6:5), further joints about as long as broad, except last joint. Pronotum remarkably large and long, hardly longer (excluding collar) than three-quarters breadth anteriorly (10:13) or scutum and scutellum together, lateral sides only moderately diverging towards tegulae, posterior margin slightly arched, upper surface together with scutum, scutellum and disc of propodeum, smooth, polished, at most partly, hardly distinctly alutaceous, with very few punctures on pronotum, here without a trace of longitudinal furrow. Parapsidal furrow absent, notaulices deep, distinctly convergent towards scutellum. Transversal furrow between mesonotum and scutellum deep with a pair of shallower pits beside scutellum. Postscutellum distinctly developed, with parallel margins, rather broadly separating scutellum from propodeum, nearly as broad as central area of propodeum. Propodeum oblong, as long medially as pronotum or hardly longer than half the transverse diameter medially (19:17 not just before spine), lateral sides straight (viewed from above), remarkably divergent posteriorly, transverse carinae arched with a row of larger foveae along these carinae, central carina weakly developed, medial carinae not developed, discal ones nearly parallel, diverging only posteriorly, central area bordered with discal carinae lying deeper and surface finely sculptured, sublateral area conspicuously large and surface finely alutaceous, sublateral carinae absent, on its place sublateral area rather sharply bending laterally and posteriorly towards spine, lateral carinae lying deeper than disc; lateral spine hardly distinct, corner nearly rectangular. Lateral sides of pronotum and propodeum finely wrinkled diagonally and partly finely granulated, similarly to declivous part of propodeum; mesepisternum with a conspicuous broad and deep groove below tegula diagonally. Abdominal tergites smooth, shining, tergites 1 and 2 posteriorly polished, the other parts of tergites alutaceous. o . - Unknown. This species is closely related to C. suarezi Móczár (1984b) (reported from Spain), but it differs from it chiefly by the characters as follows: C. levis sp. n. C. suarezi Móczár Mesepisternum with a conspicuous broad Mesepisternum with narrower and relaand deep groove below tegula diagonally. tively distinctly shallower groove below tegula diagonally. Postscutellum distinctly developed, rather broadly separating the scutellum from propodeum, nearly as broad as central area of propodeum. Dorsal surface of thorax and abdomen largely smooth and polished, at most pronotum with very few punctures. Thorax largely brownish yellow, pronotum and propodeum without blackish spots, etc. Postscutellum indistinct medially, scutellum reaching to propodeum. Dorsal surface of thorax and abdomen smooth and finely alutaceous and especially pronotum and tergite 2 with scattered deep, latter with fine punctures. Thorax brownish red, propodeum, often pronotum with black spots, etc. Sulcomesitius bridwelli (Nagy, 1968) Mesitius bridwelli Nagy, 1968, Memorie Soc.ent. ital. 47: 170 fig. 2 o, Sulcomesitius bridwelli: 1970, Móczár, Acta zool.hung. 16: 409, 417 j Sulcomesitius bridwelli: 1977, Móczár, Acta zool.hung. 23: 140 o_ Specimen examined: Nigeria: Ibadan 19 Nov 1962 Malaise trap, D.C. EIDT, 1 y (Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest) Besides the holotype this specimen is the third known female, which differs from the NAGY' s description only by having denser longitudinal strong striae and the lateral spine of propodeum being slightly longer than length of propodeum medially (19:16). Distribution. Nigeria (NAGY 1968), Zaire: Katanga (MÓCZÁR, 1970). Sulcomesitius godavarensis sp.n. Specimen examined: "Nepal, Ktmd. Godavari, 5000' 15.IV. 1967 Can.Nepal Exped." (= Kat-
