The paralectotype may represent the specimen illustrated by Melichar (Pl. IV, flg. 8). The species belongs to an undescribed genus in the Sephena complex. cyanea Melichar, 1902, p. 127 ( Sephena ) Holotype 6 - (1) Neu Pommern / Kinigunang / C. Ribbe (2) cyanea / det. Melichar (3) typus (red­bordered label). (Dissected) The genitalia of the holotype are illustrated (Fig. 11). Melichar lapsed in citing a female in the original description. The species belongs to Papuanella Distant, along with about 2 dozen undescribed species in New Guinea. New Combination (Papuanella). despecta Melichar, 1902, p. 129 (Sephena ) Holotype 6* - (1) Roon / ex coll. Fruhstorfer (2) despecta / det. Melichar (3) typus (red-bordered label). (Dissected) The genitalia of the holotype are illustrated (Fig. 3). The species belongs to Papuanella Distant. New combination (= Papuanella). discoidalis Melichar, 1902, p. 120 ( Paratella) Paralectotype o - (1) N. Guinea / Biro 97 (2) Stephansort / Astrolabe Bal (3) discoidalis / det. Melichar (4) typus íred-bordered label). This species is a junior synonym of Paratella amata (Walker). The lectotype female is in the Dresden Museum.
