Figs 48-49. Africoribates australis sp.n. - 48: dorsal side, 49: ventral side demes and bordures observable. Six pairs of genital, one pair of aggenital, two pairs of anal and three pairs of adanal setae present. Pori iad in adanal position. All legs tridactylous. Type species: Austroceratobates endroedyi sp.n. Remarks: The new genus is well placed in the family Ceratozetidae Jacot, 1925, however, it is distinguished from the other hitherto known related taxa by the shape of the tectum. Austroceratobates endroedyi sp.n. Measurements.- Length: 385-426 pm, width: 262-295 pm. Dorsal side (Fig. 54): Apex of rostrum straight, blunt, divided by two small incisions.Surface of rostral region (Fig. 57), sculptured by radiating rugae. Rostral setae distinctly barbed. Lamellae highly characteristic, dilate basally, its cuspis suddenly narrowed, sometimes a short outer cuspis also visible (Fig. 56). Lamellar setae arising on lamellar cuspis, scarcely pilose.Interlamellar setae longer than the other setae of prodorsum. Sensillus clavate its surface finely roughened.Sur­face of notogaster finely punctate. All notogastral setae thin and simple. Ventral side (Fig. 54): Genal teeth short. Epimeral surface ornamented by irregular spots. Apodemes also short, but two transversal bordures (bo. 2 and bo. sej.) well observable. Sternal apodeme or bordure absent. Epimeral setae long, all well ciliate. Setae la and 2a originating very near to each other. Custodium (Fig. 58) wide, its cuspis short, discidium very broad. Six pairs of genital setae present, the first three pairs originating on the anterior margin of plates. Aggenital, anal and adanal setae short, setae ad 1 and ad in postanal, setae ad 3 in paraanal position.
