Aleiodes (Neorhogas) schirjajewi (Kokujev, 1899) - The two species, A. schirjajewi and A. ductor , are closely related, their distinction is expounded below: A. schirjajewi Kok. 1. Second tergite less transverse, usually 1.3 times wider behind than long medially, its basal width slightly greater than median length. 2. Tergites 1-2 longitudinally striated. 3. Second or effacing section of cubital vein of hind wing rather concave. 4. Temple in dorsal view more constricted. A. ductor Thunb. 1. Second tergite transverse, usually 1.6 times wider behind than long medially, its basal width distinctly greater than median length. 2. Tergites 1-2 rugose, longitudinally rugose, sometimes second tergite strongly striated. 3. Second or effacing section of cubital vein of hind wing straight. 4. Temple in dorsal view less constricted. Distribution: Similarly to A. ductor inhabiting the steppe or eremial vegetation zone in the Palaearctic Region. In the USSR rather frequent, its westernmost distribution is in Hungary. In our country frequent in the district Eupannonicum (I/l). Localities - I/l: 2 6 : Bugac, Nagybugaci erdő. 1 o. : Dellblát (Yugoslavia). 1 £ : Fülöpháza. 1 o. : Kiskunfélegyháza, Herke-tó. 1 6 : Lakitelek, Tőserdő. 1 j : Ocsa, Nagyerdő. 1 o_ : Tabdi, swept in an Alneto-Fraxinetum. - V, VII, IX. Aleiodes (Neorhogas) sibiricus (Kokujev, 1903) - Head in dorsal view transverse, temple rounded, eye distinctly longer than temple. Femora unusually long, third femur five times and femora 1-2 almost five times as long as broad. Second tergite transverse, 1.6-1.8 times wider behind than long medially. Head and mesosoma black, metasoma testaceous. Pronotum laterally and mesonotum behind reddish. Base of first tergite and last 2-3 tergites black(ish). Tegula pale yellow. It seems most closely related to A. morio (Reinhard). - Distribution: Siberia, Hungary, North Italy, Germany. Localities - Hungary Il/l: 1 g (lectotype of Rogas hungaricus Szépligeti): Budapest. 1 o_ (paralectotype of the same taxon): Budapest, Sashegy. - V. Germany (FRG): 1 o_ : Freiburg, Kaiserstuhl, ex Noctua comes Hübner 3 April 1962, leg. et educ. HINZ (first and new host record!). Aleiodes (A.) signatus (Nees, 1812) + - Pair of spur of hind tibia usually one-third to onefourth as long as basitarsus, however, frequently nearly half as long as basitarsus - a feature lending a special ambivalency to this species in reference to the two subgenera. First tergite less broadening behind; second tergite transverse, 1.4-1.6 times wider behind than long. Its colour very similar to A. bicolor (Spinola), easy to misidentify with this species-name.Furthermore, its reddish and black(ish) colour variable. - Distribution: Palaearctic Region. Localities - In Hungary frequent, most localities fall to the zoogeographical subdistricts Eupannonicum (I/l) and Pilisicum (II/l). In the Carpathian Basin the localities are shared the subdistricts as follows: I/l: 18 (localities), II/l: 14, II/2: 5, III/3: 2, Vl/l: 3 and Vl/3: 1. Aleiodes (A.) tristis Wesmael, 1838 - Second cubital cell short, r2 about as long as cuqul or one-third to one-fourth shorter than d2. D relatively long, 1.6-1.7 times longer than high. In dorsal view temple constricted. First tergite somewhat longer than wide at hind. Body black with little reddish yellow colour. - Distribution: Palaearctic Region. In Hungary rather rare, known only from 8 localities. Localities - I/l: 1 ó': Ujszentmargita. - 1/2: 1 §_ : Pápa. - II/l: Budapest, Hűvösvölgy. 1 6 : Pilismarót. 1 (y : Pilisszentkereszt. Dobogókő. - II/2: 1 £ : Alsószecse (Slovakia). 1 o. : Tolcsva. - M/l: 2 £ : Rimaszombat (= Rimavska Sobota, Slovakia). - III/5: 1 S : Nagyenyed (= Aiud, Transylvania). - V/l: 1 £ : Kőszeg, Pőse. - V/3: 1 6 : Farkasfa, Fekete-tó. - VI/3: 1 o. + 1 b* : Krapina (Yugoslavia). - V, VIII-TX. Aleiodes (A.) ungularis (Thomson, 1891) - Every fifth tarsal joint distinctly swollen. Temple in dorsal view strongly rounded, about half as long as eye. Ocelli large. Second tergite transverse, 1.5-1.7 times as wide behind as long medially. Head propodeum and every tergite black, mesosoma Concerning the species-name A. signatus see the footnote on p. 154.
