2. Ocelli relatively large, distance between ocelli shorter than to equalling the greatest diameter of an ocellus, and exceptionally slightly longer than greatest diameter of ocellus. 3. Second tergite usually more transverse, i.e. 1.6-1.7 times broader behind than long medially. First tergite more quadrate, 1.2 times wider at hind than its width between spiracles. 2. Ocelli relatively small, distance between ocelli more or less distinctly longer than the greatest diameter of an ocellus. 3. Second tergite usually less transverse, i.e. 1.4-1.5 times broader behind than long medially. First tergite less quadrate, 1.4-1.3 times wider at hind than its width between spiracles. The species was recently redescribed (SHENEFELT 1969) essentially deviating from its older interpretation. Consequently its old faunistical and host data supposedly refer to other species or their confirmation is needed. Besides the two males from Hungary I saw the neotype (designated by SHENEFELT) originating from South France. Localities - II/l: 1 6 : Bakonyszentlászló, Hódosér, swept in a Querceto-Carpinetum. - II/2: 1 6 : Vác, Gajári-telep. - IV-V. Aleiodes (A.) gastritor (Thunberg, 1822) + - Cu2 long, r2 distinctly longer than cuqul or about as long as d2. In dorsal view temple rounded-constricted and one-third to one-fourth as long as eye. In lateral view temple less than half as wide as eye. Second tergite less transverse, 1.31.5 times wider behind than long. Ground colour of body reddish yellow or yellow, propodeum and first tergite anteriorly blackish to black. Frequently upper fourth of mesopleuron, ocellar field and second tergite laterally black to brownish black. Legs yellow. Pterostigma opaque yellow.- Distribution: Frequent to common in the Palaearctic Region. In the Carpathian Basin also frequent. Aleiodes (Neorhogas) grandis Giraud, 1857 - Together with A. vicinus (Papp) the two species differ from all other European Aleiodes species by the flattened and thickened joints 3-4 of maxillar palpi, third joint at least twice broader than 5th joint. Temple in dorsal view constricted. Ocelli large and near to each other. First tergite somewhat shorter than its hind width. Cu2 short, r2 about as long as cuqul. Body black, legs reddish yellow except black coxae and trochanters. - Distribution: Europe except the northern countries. In Hungary frequent. Aleiodes (Neorhogas) heterostigma (Stelfox, 1953) - Closely related to A. eurinus (Telenga), distinct from it by the following features: first tergite as long as wide at hind; femora relatively thick, third femur 3.6-3.8 times as long as broad, sculpture of body less strong, propodeum rugose, The species-name A. gastritor was re-validated by ACHTERBERG imparted in his letter sent to me in 1984. In this case he is in the priority and his taxonomical results within the genus Aleiodes Wesm. will be published presumably in 1985 or 1986.
