Fr., II: 174 Cyrtoplastus seriatopunctatus Reitter 1885, Ver.Nat.Verh. Brünn. , 23_: 110 Cyrtoplastus mongolicus Hlisnikovsky 1967, Reichenbachia, _9 (27): 242-243 Cyrtoplastus seriepunctatus , Emetz 1975, Folia ent.hung., 28 (1): 66 Cyrtoplastus seriepunctatus , Emetz 1976, Insects of Mongolia, _4j 144 Central aimak: 126 km N v. Ulan-Baator, am Wege, 1100 m, 9.VII. 1964. 1 cf (sub Cyrtoplastus mongolicus Hlisn.) in Budapest Museum. Discussion: This specimen from Mongolia is similar in the shape of aedeagus and the external characters to the European specimens. Cyrtoplastus ? irregularis Reitter, 1898 Anlsotoma mongolica Hlisnikovsky, 1967, Reichenbachia, _9 (27): 237-238 Amphycillis globus, Emetz 1975, Folia ent. hung., 28 (1): 66 Amphycillis globus , Emetz 1976, Insects of Mongolia, 4jl44 (pars). Central aimak: Ulan-Baator, Nucht im Bogdo ul, 1600-1700 m, 22.VII/27.VII. 1965, 2 cf and 2 $> (sub Anlsotoma mongolica Hlisn., Holotype and paratypes; sub Amphycillis globus F., det EMETZ) in coll. Mus. Budapest (1 cf and 2 $) and in coll. ANGELINI (1 cf). Discussion: The four specimens mentioned above have been ascribed to the genus Anlsotoma by HLISNIKOVSKY (I.e.) and later to the genus Amphycillis by EMETZ, but in my view they are Cyrtoplastus . On the basis of the original descriptions of C. successor Reitt. and C . irregu laris Reitt., I presume they belong to the latter species. However, I cannot be sure of the specific identification because I have not examined types of the two mentioned species (an examination of the male copulatory organ Is necessary). Unfortunately, I do not find these types in the Museums of Berlin, Budapest, Paris and Vienna. Therefore, I think it useful to give here a description of those specimens. Length 3-3.5 mm. Dorsum reddish-brown on head and pronotum, black on elytra, or whole dorsum black; venter reddish-brown, more clear on mesosternum; antennae uniformly testaceous or with a darker club; legs reddish-brown; microretlculation absent from whole dorsum. Head with punctures very close, weakly impressed, spaced from each other by 1-2 times their own diameter, with very few larger punctures; pronotum with punctures as on head but more superficial and sparse, spaced from each other by 1-6 times their own diameter, frequently with larger punctures; elytra with punctures larger and more strongly impressed, spaced from each other by 1-2 times their own diameter, with very small sparser punctures. Head much narrower than pronotum (ratio of pronotum to head = 1.7); clypeal line present, clear and regularly curved. 3rd antenna!
