cone-like tubular ducts at the posterior spiracles and by the perivulvar pores, by the short distance between Li, by the stronger sclerotization of pygidium, by the form of Lj and body, also by the formula of dorsal, marginal macroducts. It also differ from Nilotaspis by the characters of the second instar larvae. The Nilotaspis larvae has divided L 2 and the formula of macroducts is 1, 1, 1, 1. The larvae of the new genus lack L 2 , and the formula of macroducts is 1, 1, 1. Between the new genus and other related genera ( Andaspis MacGilivra.y, 1921; Aonidomytilus Leonardy, 1904; Dactylaspis Ferris, 1937; Mercetaspis Gomez-Menor, 1927; Velataspis Ferris, 1937, etc) there are significant differences. Remarks: It may be the extreme disintegration of related species of the subtribe Lepidosaphidina into a number of small genera that indicates that the generic and species level value of numerous characters are not well known. Therefore, there is a great necessity for the revision of the subtribe, something like what was made by DANZIG (1980) for a small part of the tribe Lepidosaphidini. The taxonomic rank of the disc pores at the anterior spiracles should be studied in more detal, because several species have 3-locular, and others 5-locular pores in this subtribe, and this character had not received sufficient and thorough attention so far. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT I thank Dr. E.M. DANZIG (Zoological Institute, Leningrad) for help in the study of these genera, Dr. G. VINIS who provided me access to study the type-material, Dr. G. De LOTTO and Dr. M. KOSZTARAB for loaning the specimens of C. rostrellum. REFERENCES BALACHOWSKY, i&. (1954): Les Cochenilles Palearctic de la Tribu des Diaspidini. - Inst. Pasteur (Paris) Mem.
