6 (3) 7 (8) 8 (7) 9 (14) Pronotum only with 2 lateral setae (except postangular seta). Lateral reflection of pronotum strongly widened towards base, sides without sinuation before widely rounded hind angles (fig. 47). Interval 3 with 5-6 small setiferous pores. 13.5-15.0 mm N. wiedemanni F.-W. Lateral reflection of pronotum hardly widened towards base. Smaller (10.4-12.1 mm) and narrower, elytra 1.35-1.50/times as wide as pronotum. First antenna! segment thinner and more strongly narrowed towards base (fig. 51-53). Interval 3 only with 1-2 small setiferous pores apically. 10 (11) Pronotum (fig. 49) at sides without sinuation before hardly prominent hind angles. First antennái segment - fig. 52. 11.9 mm N. gotschi Chaud. 11 (10) Pronotum (Figsl45, 50) at sides with distinct sinuation before more prominent hind angles. 12 (13) Smaller (10.4-12.1 mm). First antenna! segment longer and strongly narrowed towards base (fig. 51). Microsculpture on head and pronotum very faint, consisting of short transverse meshes, on elytra coarser, meshes wider. Pronotum - fig. 50, aedeagus figs 1 60-62. N. sevanensis sp.n. 13 (12) Larger (12.4-13.0 mm). First antennái segment shorter and more cylindrical (fig. 53). Microsculpture somewhat coarser, on head isodiametric, on pronotum and elytra consisting of short transverse meshes. Pronotum - fig. 45, male genital organs - Figs 72, 74, 77, 79 N. perlidaghensis sp.n. 14 (9) Larger (12.5-15.4 mm) and wider, elytra 1.22-1,34 times as wide as pronotum. First antenna! segment thicker and more cylindrical (Figs 54, 55). Interval 3 as a rule with setiferous pores. Pronotum (fig. 43) at sides not sinuated before hardly prominent hind angles. 12.5-15.4 mm N. turcica Chaud. 15 (16) 16 (15) Pronotum (fig. 44) at sides evidently sinuated before strongly prominent hind angles. 12.9-14.5 mm N. araschiniea Reitt. N. caucasica group It is one of the most difficult group of Caucasian Nebria. Size, form of pronotum, chetotaxy are rather changeable. Because of the short and vague descriptions of MÉNÉTRIES and MOTSCHULSKY who described the first species, subsequent authors did not properly identified the materia! from the Caucasus, which leads to some taxonomical confusions. The structure of aedeagus is not always suitable for separation of species. General characters of the group. Body small or moderate size. Colour from piceous to pitchy black. First segment of antennae with 1 seta. Penultimate segment of labial palpi with 4 setae. Scutellar and discal pores of elytra absent, more rarely present. Chetotaxy of sternits rather changeable, but with quite well visible tendency to uni setose or plurisetose.
