FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK XLIII. 1. 1982 p. 87-93 New Tarsonemina species from Hungary (Aca ri) By S. MAHUNKA and A. M. ZAKI (Received Decern her 10, 1981) Abstract: Two new species ( Pediculaster hungaricus sp.n. and Imparipes (I.) dilatatus sp.n.) are described from Hungary. Dr. A. ZICSI and its co-workers have collected a large quantity of soil mites in two regions (Vértes Mts. and Szendehely, Cserhát Mts.) of Hungary. During the elaboration of this material we found two new species, the descriptions are presented hereunder. Pediculaster hungaricus sp.n. Measurements. - Length: 324-370 «m, width: 142-164 jam. Dorsal side (Fig. 1): Prodorsum and propodosoma comparatively large. Peritrema small, originating far from each other. Bothridium opening on dorsal surface of prodorsum. Head of sensillus round, its peduncle thick and short, surface slightly rugulose. Great differences existing between rostral and inner bothridial setae, both oroginating behind peritrema. Dorsal setae of notogaster different in length, e: 25 urn, f: 90 p, hi: 70 jam. Caudal setae ps 3 essentially thicker and longer than the two inner pairs, all three pairs originating at a some distance from each other. Ventral side (Fig. 3): All apodemes - excepting ap.5 - well developed. Anterior sternal plate with 6 (3+3) pairs of setae, all short, 2b slightly longer than the others. Legs: Claw of leg 1 (Fig. 4) with a long tooth basally. All solenidia of tibiotarsus narrow, elongated. Claw of leg 2 (fig. 2) thin, without a dilated part basally. Chaetotaxy of leg 4 as shown in Fig. 2. Material examined: Holotypus: Hungary, Szendehely (com. Nógrád). IX-XI. 1979. leg. Dr. A. ZICSI. 4 paratype: from the same locality. Holotypus: (713-HT-82) and 2 paratypes (713-PT-82) in the Arachnida-Collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest, 1 paratype in the collection of the junior author, 1 paratype in the collection of the Museum d'Histoire Naturelle, Geneva. Remarks: The new species is well characterized by the shape of claws and by the ratio of notogastral setae. On the ground of the dorsal chaetotaxy it stands near to Pediculaster arcanus Rack, 1967; however the caudal setae of the (ps 2 and ps 3 ) latter are different. The shape and the ratio of caudal setae similar to those of P. dudichi Mahunka, 1970, but the shape of claws and the ratio of e and h 2 setae are different.
