FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK XLIII. 1. 1982 p- 55-57 Data to the Thysanoptera fauna of Tunisia By G. JENSER (Received December 1, 1981) Abstract: Twelve species of Thysanoptera found in Tunisia are listed together with locality and other pertaining data. Two species are new for the African continent. In recent years two Hungarian collecting trips worked Tunisia: in March-April Drs. L. GOZMÁNY, S. MAHUNKA; in September, 1977 Dr. S. MAHUNKA and L. MAHUNKA-PAPP (GOZMÁNY and MAHUNKA 1977; MAHUNKA and MAHUNKA-PAPP 1978). The extensive collectings of the two expeditions also resulted some specimens of Thysanoptera. Neither the specific nor the individual number of Thysanoptera is large, consequently no far reaching conclusions can be made concerning the thrips fauna of Tunisia. The majority of the species is widely distributed in the Mediterranean region some having spread over the whole of Eurasia. Complementary notes are appended only to those species whose data were scarce, and the new localities are noteworthy. I should like expecially to thank Dr. R. zur STRASSEN (Frankfurt am Main) and Dr. A. BOURNIER (Montpellier) for checking the name of some species.
