Median opaque area of some other Aradus larvae investigated, as well as of A. krueperi, is covered with small pointed teeth (Fig. 25). The area will sink in and in the adult form a channel, however, the surface structure will not change (Fig. 26). Tip of abdomen changes rapidly, and development of paratergites of segments VHI and IX is characteristic of the instars (Figs 27-29). In Fig. 28 segment X is visible too. The anal tube enlonged this way (Fig. 30) serves to help jetting the excrement fluid (jetting observed in the case of A. ribauti Wagner, 1955). In instar V the rudiments of the genital chamber of the male and 1st and 2nd valvifers of female are visible (Figs 31-32). Acknowledgement: Author wishes to express his indebtedness to Mrs. I.
