FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK XLIII. 1. 1982 p. 169-173 Data to the foodplants of lepidopterous larvae in Hungary By K. SZEOKE (Received January 20, 1982) Abstract: A list of natural foodplantsi of lepidopterous larvae is given continuing the research of earlier authors. I first bred butterflies between 1965-1980 to complete my faunal collection, later I did it directly to contribute to the knowledge of natural foodplants. During my work I gave utmost attention to the species found on agricultural cultivated plants on which they regularly or occasionally feed. So, the specialists of plant cultivation and plant protection also could obtain utilizable information from these data. The further breeding of larvae under isolator was done on plants or on vegetal parts which were found to be the foodplant of the species at the time of collecting. The only exceptions were Cosaua cossus L. and Zeuzera pyrina L. for they were identified on the basis of their empty chrysalides hanging on their foodplant.
