Plain. Data from Rostalló: 19. VII.1974, 3. VII.1976. Discoloxia blomeri Curt. - Previously known from NE Hungary and from the Bakony Mts. (here relatively frequent), new to the Zemplén Mts. At Rostalló we caught four specimens on 4-10. VII. 1977. Eustroma reticulata Den. et Schiff. - This species was recorded from NW and NE Hungary, local and rare. Data from Rostalló: 21.VII. 1974, 3. VIR. 1980. Notodonta torva Hbn. - Data of distribution are given by GYULAI et al. (1979), new data Mátraháza, light trap. On the Tornai Karszt (NE Hungary) it has two generations (Varga, pers. comm.), however, at Rostalló only one. Imagoes in July-August, in some years frequent. European nemoral elements Eupithecia expallidata Dbld. - This species previously known from a very few localities, In a few specimens seems to be montaneous. From Rostalló we had two specimens (23-26.VII. 1977, 5­10.Vin.1978). Montaneous altoherbosa elements Diachrysia chryson Esp. - The distribution of this species is given by GOZMÁNY (1970), GYULAI et al. (1974, 1979) and UHERKOVICH (1971-72, 1977a, b, 1978a). It is very characteristic for the valleys of Rostalló, in some years frequent, flight period is in July-August. Mormo maura L. - The other typical species for Rostalló, never on light, on bait and in late afternoon we caught some specimens. Conistra fragariae Esp. - From Hungary we had a fes data only from NE and NW parts of the country and old data from Kaposvár (leg. Nattán, Pazsiczky, Ház, Kovács). .At Rostalló we ob­served it on 7.XI. 1977 in the morning, but could not catch it. Cucullia prenanthis Bsd. - This species lives only in large and old beech forests, local and rare. At Rostalló we collected it regularly, both imagoes and larvae (on Scrophularia nodosa). Apamea tallósi Kovács et Varga - This species was described from NW Hungary in 1969; characteristic for river valleys and marsh forests. Hungarian distribution was given by GYULAI et al. (1974, 1979) and UHERKOVICH (1978); it was unknown from the Zemplén Mts. Data: 9.Vn. 1976, 16-22.VI. 1977, two specimens. Eupithecia subumbrata Den, et Schiff. - Hungarian localities: Magyaróvár (old data), Ivánc (light trap, in coll. Herczig) and Zemplén Mts., Istvánkut (leg. Gozmány). A single specimen was collected at Rostalló on 11.VI. 1978. Eurosiberian Betula-Alnus elements Species In this group were all collected in the Zemplén Mts., a characteristic element in the fauna of the Zemplén Mts. The distribution of this group in Hungary was surveyed by UHERKOVICH (1978d); in this paper we record the new data without listing the old localities. Leucodonta bicoloria Den. et Schiff. - Usual at Rostalló, in some years not rare (8-10. VI.1977, 16-22. VI. 1977, 4-10. VH.1977, 6. VI.1978); unpublished data: Nyirád, 22. V.1977 (coll. the authors), Csákvár, 18. V.1979 (leg. Szabóky). Plemyria rubiginata Den. et Schiff. - Distributed in the W-SW parts of Hungary, known in NE from the Mátra Mts. (JABLONKAY, 1979). At Rostalló usual but rare. Eupithecia pygmaeata Hbn. - This species is not closely related to this group, but in Hunga­ry lives in old Alnus forests. It is known from a few localities in the western parts of the country. New data: Rostalló, 7.VI. 1976, 5.VIII. 1980. Xeromontaneous elements Ochropleura musiva Hbn. - Recorded only from the Tornai Karszt (NE Hungary), a rare spe­cies. From Rostalló we have only one female collected on 15.Vn. 1975.
