S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 34/2. (Budapest, 1981)
First tergite of female reddish yellow, sometimes with variable blackish suffusion; that of males partly to entirely black. Entire legs reddish yellow. - Distribution: Wesmael described it from Belgium, hitherto known in West and Central Europe. New to the fauna of Hungary. In our country it is a frequent species, collected equally in flat and mountainous area (Pannonicum and Matricum). The males are in a conspicuous plurality over the females. Collected also in Transylvania (1 6: Apatelek. 1 6: Dicsöszentmárton. 1 cf: Oroszmező) and in Slovakia (1 cf Pöstyén). Localities. 1 g: Bakonybél. 1 6*: Bátorliget (Gyôrfi named as M. mediator Hal.). 2 o: Budapest, Hűvösvölgy. 1 6: Budapest, Óbuda. 1 tf: Budapest, Palatinus kert. 6 S: Bükk Mts., Hollóstető. 1 & Csákvár, Vadaskert. 2 8: Darány. 4 ff: Egyek, Ohati erdö. 1 tf: Eplény, Tobán Mt. 1 cí: Háromhuta, Nagykirályos. 1 cf: Iharkút, Laposak. 1 cf: Kám, Jeli. 1 cf: Olaszfalu, Alsópere. 1 (f: Ócsa. 1 cf: Őriszentpéter. 1 (f: Peszér. 1 cf: Pilismarót. 1 6*: Pomáz. 1 6: Püspökladány, Ágotapuszta. 1 S\ Tatatóváros. 1 g + 1 cf: Tákos, Bockereki erdő. 1 cf: Tihany, Csúcshegy. 3 £ + 17 cf: Ujszentmargita. 1 ff: Várpalota, Várvölgy, swept in a Querceto-Carpinetum (recorded by me as M. tadzhica Tel., Papp 1973). - V-IX, frequent in June-July; 5 o_ + 48 cf. Microplitis heterocera (Ruthe, 1860) Antenna conspicuously short, at most as long as head, thorax and first tergite together. Flagellar joints unusually short, first joint 1.7-1.8(1.9) times as long as broad, joints 10-15 cubic. Legs also unusually short, femora somewhat swollen, in lateral view less then thrice as long as broad. Tarsal joints short, joints 2-4 of hind tarsus about twice as long as broad. First tergite broadening behind, 1.4-1.5 times longer than wide at its hind third. Stigma twice as long as wide. Body strong to robust, 3.2-3.5 mm long (g). - Distribution: Sporadically in several European countries (Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Yugoslavia: Dalmatia, the European part of the USSR). New to the fauna of Hungary. Locality. 2 g: Peszér, 31 VII 1930, ex Porphyrinia pannonica Frr. (new host), 10 VHI 1930, leg. et educ. A. Schmidt. Microplitis idia Nixon, 1970 First tergite 1.3-1.6 times longer than broad; NIXON depicted its outline (1970: 6, Fig. 6) clearly wider than that of my specimens from Hungary, Germany and Israel. Most characteristic for this species is its almost smooth scutellum with few scattered and small punctures, shiny to polished. Mesonotum with reduced sculpture, lobes shagreened to densely rugulose, notaulix narrow and less roughly rugose. Hind tibia usually yellow, apically blackish. Wings fumous. - Distribution: Up to now recorded from a few localities in Sweden, Germany, Hungary and Israel. New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities. 2 g: Ásotthalom. 1 6*: Nagykovácsi, Nagyszénás. - V-VI, 2 g + 1 ô*. Microplitis leonlae Niezabltowski, 1910 Very similar to the common M . varipes (Ruthe, 1860), thus their distinction may be difficult. First tergite parallel-sided and behind somewhat more rounded. Hind tibia yellow, apically blackish. Metacarp, in comparison to M. varipes , long, as long as stigma. Wings hyaline to subhyaline. Stigma evenly dark, at most with a small and faint pale basal spot; basal third of stigma of M. varipes distinctly yellow. Hind femur always black. - Distribution: Sporadically in. Poland, Hungary and Georgia (USSR). New to the fauna of Hungary. Locality. 1 g: Tabdi, VI. Microplitis lugubrls (Ruthe, 1860) Preapical three joints of antenna subcubic to cubic. First tergite conspicuously long, 2-2.2 times longer than wide, either with parallel sides or posteriorly with subparallel to feebly converging sides. Head in dorsal view (1.8-)1.9 times broader than long. An unusually dark species. Body black; legs black, tibiae blackish. Palpi blackish. - Distribution: Observed rather sporadically in Europe. Locality. 1 g: Bükk Mts., Csipkéskút. Microplitis naenia Nixon, 1970 Antenna as long as head, thorax and tergites l-2(-3). Penultimate joints of flagellum 1.31.5 times as long as broad. Metacarp about as long as stigma, latter wide, only 2.1-2.3 times longer than wide. Legs variable in colour; usually reddish yellow, coxae and trochanters, middle femur basally and hind femur nearly entirely or entirely brownish black to black. - Distribution:
