FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK XLII (XXXIV) 2 1981 p. 127-141 Contributions to the Braconid fauna of Hungary, III. Opiinae and Microgasterinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) By J. PAPP (Received July 1, 1981) Abstract . - A checklist of the Hungarian Opiinae and Microgasterinae (sine Apanteles Förster) species is given. The following Microgasterinae genera are represented in Hungary: Hygroplitls Thomson, Hypomicrogaster Ashmead, Microgaster Latreille, Micropli- tis Förster and Protomicroplitis Ashmead. Every species of faunistical significance is characterized from the viewpoint of taxonomy and zoogeography (localities, distribution). 24 species are new to the fauna of Hungary. New synonyms were established: Microgaster rugosicoxa Papp. 1959 = Protomicroplitis meges Nixon, 1965, syn.n.; Microgaster subti- lipunctata (Papp. 1959) stat.n. = Microgaster obsepiens Nixon, 1968, syn.n.; Hypomicro gaster dorsalis (Spinola, 1808) = H. suffolciensis (Morley, 1902), syn.n.; Protomicroplitis alvearia (Fabricius, 1798) = Apanteles areolatus Szépligeti, 1896, syn.n.; Protomicro plitis claritibia (Papp, 1959) = P. orontes Nixon, 1965, syn.n. New host records: Micrp- plitis decens Tobias ex Callopistria juventina Stoll, Microplitis heterocera (Ruthe) ex Porphyrinia pannonica Frr., Protomicroplitis claritibia (Papp) ex Plutella maculipennis Curtis . OPnNAE The Opiinae species of Hungary The checklist is a strict completion of my book on the Opiinae species of Hungary within the series of Fauna Hungáriáé (PAPP 1981a). In this checklist, and in the further ones to be published, those species are enumerated which were effectively collected in Hungary and the specimen(s) representing and verifying their occurrence in our country are deposited in the Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Up the 1981 the total number of the Opiinae species occurring in Hungary and collected at least In one specimen is 184 belonging to 10 genera. Among the genera Opius Wesm. represents the most prominent one, it comprises the five-sixths of all the species, namely, at present, 154 Oplus species.
