The lineipes-group Apanteles britannicus Wilkinson, 1941 - Distribution: the species was described from England and since then no new distributional record was published. New to the fauna of Hungary. Locality: Baja, host collected 6.VHI.1976, ex Myopites inulae Rös. (Dipt.) 20.VHI.1976 (new host), 3 o_ and 1 <f, leg. et educ. Fekete. The type-series was bred from Aristolechia ino- pella Z. (Lep.), its new host record Is somewhat surprising. Ges. , 30:119, o6 (abbreviated syno­nymization in Papp 1980). Ovipositor sheath in lateral view at least as long as hind tibia, usually longer, I.e. as long as hind tibia + basitarsus. First tergite long, 1.6 times longer than at its base, with nearly evenly narrowing sides, apically faintly produced, rl longer than cuqul. - Distribution: supposedly frequent in the entire Holarctic Region. Res., 61: 717, ^(abbreviated synonymization in Papp 1980) The "type" of A . punctiger was compared with the holotype of A . itea and I could not find any essential differences between them, consequently the latter name is but a junior synonym. ­Mesonotum dull, quite heavily punctate, interspaces densely alutaceous. Propodeum with a median foveola-like depression. First tergite behind slightly more narrowing than before. Ovipositor sheath at most as long as two-thirds of hind tibia. Legs fully yellow. Antenna predominantly reddish yellow. - Distribution: Europe, North Africa. In Hungary frequent, new to our fauna.
