MÉSZÁROS (Received December 18, 1980) Abstract: The paper provides results of rearings of 74 lepidopterous species, new foodplant or locality data and phenological observations. This paper is the fourth in a series in which the foodplants of lepidopterous larvae are published. Since apple plantations have priority within the framework of the agro-ecological research programme of in our Institute, the present paper provides data of lepidopterous species obtained overwhelmingly from rearings on apple foliage In the years of 1976-1979. This and the previous article (MÉSZÁROS, 1969, 1972, 1974) are similar in nature to the papers of TALLÖS (1961) and SZŐCS (1963, 1971, 1977). Recently H ERC ZI G et al (1980) also reported data about the natural foodplants of lepidopterous larvae. The list includes only those rearing data in which I obtained the adults. There is one exception: I made a notice on which foodplant I found the larvae of Lymantria dispar , but I did not collect them. I consider that a foodplant on which larvae or eggs were found. On several occasions my colleagues have collected larvae with foodplant , after these data the name of the collector is recorded. I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. A. PÉNZES, Dr. P.
