Hesperus plumbeus sp.n. This is a sombre coloured species with the fine elytral puncturation similar to that of Philonthus cyclopius Cam., but it differs from this species in many other respects. Black except elytra which are dark greenish bronze, the suture and scutellum black; antennae with last two segments creamy-white.
