In ventral view is similar to A. mayri and this similarity also stands for the brownish pattern beside the developing ovipositor and on the top of the genital plates (Fig. 4: A-B). Size of ó and cj>: 3. 0 to 3. 3 mm. A. mayri 6, o (larva, Vth instar, Fig. 7) Basic coloration is brownish white, with darker pattern on the back. There are 6 brown spots on the top of the head, the first two extend to the forehead. There is one brown spot each on the middle and on the two sides of the pronotum. Similar spots are also arranged along the fore and hind wing-buds to the half of abdomen. In dorsal view, the above distribution of spots form three dark stripes down to.the 7th tergite. The basic coloration of 7th, 8th and-9th tergites is uniform brownish white, darker in comparison with the former ones. There are warty formations on the surface of the dorsal plates and in the vicinity of their posterior border lines, all bearing setae. The number of setae varies by plates. A comparison by specimens also revealed a slight alteration in the number of setae on corresponding tergites. In ventral view, the body surface is without any conspicuous pattern. It is uniformly brownish white, there is one dark brown spot only at the tip of abdomen, in the case of females on both sides of the developing ovipositor, while with males, on the tip of the genital plates (Fig. 4: A-B). Size of Ô* and g_\ cca. 2. 8 to 3. 2 mm. One additional note: the size of stages is given With approximate accuracy only, since the examination of larval stadia was carried out on alcoholic materials. A key to larvae 1 (2) In dorsal view: pattern of tergite 7 identical with that of former tergites. No conspicuous dark brown spots present. Pattern of abdomen arranged into 4 longitudinal lines (Fig. 5) -, . A. abbreviatus 2 (1) In dorsal view: three conspicuous dark brown spots on tergite 7 present. 3 (4) Posterior region of wing-buds and tergite 6 without any pattern. In dorsal view: three dark transversal stripes present (Fig. 6) • A. atomarius 4 (3) In dorsal view: three longitudinal dark stripes (Fig. 7) present on tergite 6 A. mayri REFERENCES DLA.BOLA, J.
