sweep-net collections. Fig. 1. shows the flight period of A. mayri adults, the curve being characteristic of the other two species, too. Specimens of A. abbreviatus were also regularly detected in the sweep-net, at Budapest-Budatétény, though in low abundance. The same species, however, was only rarely found in the light-trap during the same period. The adults were found partly in the canopy of elm- and almond-trees, partly in the grass-level, at Budapest-Budatétény. At Budaörs-Kamaraerdő, specimens of A. abbreviatus and A. atomarius were regularly collected by the sweep-net. The adults of A. atomarius occurred on cherry-trees consequently, while those of A. abbreviatus on peach. Fig. 1. Flight period of Allygus mayri adults During grassor canopy-level collections, at Budaörs-Kamaraerdő, it was observed that the adults of A. atomarius first appeared at grass-level in early June, and only after 7 to 10 days did they move into the canopy of cherry trees. At peak flight as well as somewhat before and after the peak, there were more adults found in the canopy than at the grass-level. Adults were again more numerous at the grass-level in the final stage on the flight-period, to
