In situ both the gonopod tibiotarsus and solenomerite directed laterad. Femorite distally enlarged, without processes, with evidence of torsion, very well demarcated from the acropodite. Tibiotarsus (tt) defences the main part of solenomerite and provided with a large dorsal process (d). Solenomerite is free a little distad of the demarcation between the femorite and acropodite. Postfemoral portion bears a basal lateral (b) and a distal ventral (v) process. Type species: Cawjeekelia gloriosa sp. n. Remarks: Cawjeekelia gen.n. is most closely related to Orientosoma gen.n. (see below) and dedicated to the outstanding diplopodologist, Professor C. A. W. JEEKEL of the Amsterdam Museum. Cawjeekelia gloriosa sp. n. (Figs. 14-16) Localities: Ryanggang Prov., Chann-pay Plateau, Samjiyon, 1700 m, LarixBetula forest litter, it- 25. VIII. 1971 (No. 202), leg. J. Papp, S. Horvatovich. - Same locality, under a Larix tree, 2 tt (including holotype), 1 o_ - 3. X. 1978 (No. 448), leg. A. Vojnits, L. Zombori. - Material examined: 4 specimens. Holotype male, together with the 3 paratypes deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Description: Males to 16 mm long, ca. 1. 2 mm wide (holotype) and ca. 1. 3 mm wide (paratypes). The female paratype 17 mm long and ca. 1.5 mm wide. Colour from whitish to dark brown. The anterior body portion, telson, antennae, distal joints of legs may be especially dark. Paranoia yellowish, much lighter than background. Antennae long, slender and densely setose. Distinct pleural keels at the anterior body portion somewhere at the 14th or 15th rings gradually turn into swellings disappearing on the 19th segment. Collum evenly curved downward, paranoia poorly developed, not extending back to the caudal edge of tergum. Paranoia of 2nd segment below collum, nearly horizontal, their caudal corner distinctly below 3rd paranota. Mid-body paranota small, in the form of elongate lateral ridges on sides of metazonites, set off dorsally by distinct grooves. Surface below paranota rough, dorsad of them smooth and shining; prozona shaggreen. Pore-bearing paranota better developed; ozopores situated near caudal corners of the paranota, in dorsal aspect as if truncating obliquely the very caudal corner. In lateral aspect anteriorly paranota very gently rounded, caudally less gently, on nearly all segments not extending back the tergal caudal edges. Only paranota of the 17th ring a little and of the 18th rather distinctly exceed the tergal cuadal edges becoming again well within the contour on the 19th segment. No paranota acute beak-like caudally. Singled long setae on terga, somewhat denser at anterior body portion. In dorsal view body gradually broadening to the 5th ring, parallel-sided somewhere at the 15th or 16th segments becoming gently narrower further on. Metaterga with a rather deep and narrow well-defined transverse sulcus mid-dorsally each, not extending laterad to base of paranota. Long epiproct subtrapezoidal in dorsal aspect, truncate at the apex and produced into two paramedian tubercles and two subterminal lateral ones bearing a long seta each; in lateral aspect a bit curved and bent downward. Legs long, enlarged in males and slender infernale. Ventral sides of tarsi extremely setose. A large trapeziform pubescent lamina between male coxae 4. Gonopods (removed one in the paratype No. 448) with densely setose coxae and prefemora. Femorite distally crassate, with evidence of torsion, without processes and very well demarcated from the acropodite; postfemoral portion provided with a small lateral basal (b) and a distinct disto-ventral (v) process; both free solenomerite and tibiotarsus in situ directed laterad, subequal in length; tibiotarsus (tt) defences the main portion of solenomerite, which is free from the femoral demarcation, and provided with a very large dorsal (d) and a smaller inner (i) process. ORIENTOSOMA gen.n. Small animals (less than 2 cm long). Paranota moderately developed. Paranoty 2 below collum. Pleural keels present. A large trapeziform lamina between male coxae 4. In situ both gonopod tibiotarsus and solenomerite directed laterad. Femorite distally not enlarged, with slight evidence of torsion, without processes, well demarcated from the acropodite. Postfemoral portion without a basal process, but with an obscure ventro-distal
