FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK XLI (XXXIII). 1. 1980 p. 49-58 * A contribution to the millipede fauna of Korea (Diplopoda) By S. I. GOLOVATCH (Received December 15, 1979) Abstract: In extensive materials of the Diplopoda collected by several zoologists of the staff of the Hungarian Natural History Museum in the Democratic People' s Republic of Korea during the last decade there occurred 12 taxa including two genera and three species new to science: Ansiulus legitimus sp.n. (Mongoliulidae), Ca wjee kelia glorios a gen.n., sp.n., and Orientosoma koreanum gen.n., sp.n. (Paradoxosomatidae). Skleroprotopus similiserratus Col. (Mongoliulidae), Sichot anus mandshuricus Gol. (Paradoxosomatidae), and Polyzonium bonum Mikh. (Polyzoniidae) are recorded in the Korean fauna for the first time. During three zoological expeditions of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest, in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea large collectings of the Diplopoda were made (MAHUNKA, STEINMANN, 1971; PAPP, HORVATOVICH, 1972; VOJNITS, ZOMBORI, 1979). In these materials kindly sent to the author for identification, along with already known forms, there occurred two genera and three species new to science and further three species new to the Korean fauna. For the opportunity to study these materials I wish to express my sincerest thanks to Drs. Z. KASZAB and S. MAHUNKA (Budapest). Korean locality names are referred to hereinafter according to the latest unification (VOJNITS, ZOMBORI, 1979). Except for a few duplicate specimens retained in the author' s collection for a subsequent deposition in the Zoological Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Leningrad, all the materials have been returned to the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest.
