Notes on Coleophora and Cnephasia species trapped by synthetic attractants (Lepidoptera: Coleophoridae and Tortricidae) By GY. SZIRÁKI (Received November 30, 1979) Abstract: Traps, baited with sex pheromones for Anarsia lirieatella Z. and Gra- pholitha molesta Busck and with other attractants (cis-9-dodecen- l-ol acetate and terpinyl acetate), lured some Coleophora and Cnephasia species remarkable from faunistic point of view since Coleophora peissonie lla Kasy, Cnephasia genitalana P. et M., and Cnephasia ecullyana Real were not reported before from Hungary. In the traps designed for examining the dispersion and movement activity of different pests on peaches and in other fruit orchards, we have found a number of microlepidopterous species remarkable from faunistic and systematic point of view. Earlier account of similar nature had been given by SZIRÁKI (1978). The aim of the present paper is to give account of Hungarian Coleophora (Coleophoridae) and Cnephasia (Tortricidae) species having faunistic importance. The attractants in the applied traps were mostly sex pheromone preparations for the peach tree borer - Anarsia lineatella Z. (Atralirí*, PTB**), for the oriental fruit moth Graphilitha molesta Busck, cis-9-dodecen1-01 acetate, and an attractant liquid with terpinyl acetate (CHISHOLM et al. 1946). The pheromone preparations were used in traps "Pherocon - 1C" type, while the attractant with terpinyl acetate was in glass traps, hung on branches of fruit trees. The examinations were carried out mainly in large-scale fruit (peach, apricot, and other) plantations at Törökbálint and Érd-Elvira (Com. Pest) and at Kecskemét-Szarkás (Com. Bács-Kiskun), but some of our traps functioned in sparse and house-orchards in Budapest (Budatétény) and at Dunaharaszti (Com. Pest), while others were placed out forests. ^ Pheromone preparations produced in Rumania. Product of Zoecon Corporation (USA).
