Body 3. 5 mm long. My male specimen was compared with the male allotype. - Distribution: since its description known only from Mongolia. New to the fauna of Hungary, Locality: Budapest, Svábhegy (= Szabadsághegy), 1 6. Remark. - The type-series is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 2806 (o_ holotype), 2807 (6 allotype), 2808 (o_ paratype) . Biosteres (Biosteres) spinaciae (Thomson, 1895) Antenna with 32 (1 o_) and 35-36 joints (6). cuqul nearly twice longer than r2 (25:15, x63). One of the male specimens with an abnormal "subcubital cell": the normal cubital cell (Cul) elongated and a small cell detached from it bordered also distally with a transverse vein. - Distribution: a Holarctic species (Europe, Mongolia, North America). New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: Budajenő, 1 o . Keszthely, 1 p and 6 6 ex Pegomyia hyosciami Panz. (host plant Beta vulgaris). Újszentmargita, 1 (f. - V­VI. Biosteres (Chilotrichia) sylvaticus (Haliday) Opius sylvaticus Haliday, 1837, Ent. Mag., 4: 219, o 6. Biosteres nitida Szépligeti, 1896, Term. Fűz., 19: 318 (in Hungarian), 19: 384 (in German), 6, syn. n. SZÉPLIGETI' s B. nitida is evidently identical with B. sylvaticus (Hal. ) established by me on the basis of the examination of the male holotype housed in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 2483, its data: "Óbuda, 22. V.". - Antenna with 42 (2 p) and 41 joints (1 p and 2 6), last 10-15 joints cubic or subcubic. Eye (in lateral view) small, temple slightly wider than horizontal diameter of eye. Cheek äs long as basal width of mandible. First tergite somewhat shorter than its hind width. - Distribution: taken in some localities in Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria. New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: Gyón, 1 p. Kiskőrös, 2 p and 2 o e folii Onopordi acanthium. Ób uda, 1 o_. - V, IX-X. Remark. - The male holotype was also recently traced in our collection after FI­SCHER' s report (1973) of its lost (cf. remark at B. brevisulcus ). Biosteres (Chilotrichia) ultor Förster, 1862 Antenna 38 jointed. Eye (in lateral view) small, temple 1. 5 times wider than hori­zontal diameter of eye. N. rec. antefurcal. - B. cubocephalus (Tel. ) seems to be very simi­lar to this species. - Distribution: a rare species, reported from Denmark, Germany, Aus­tria. New to the fauna of Hungary. Locality: Sárvár, lő.- VI. Biosteres (Chilotrichia) Xanthippe (Fischer, 1959) N. rec. slightly though distinctly postfurcal. Punctation of head very fine. Abdomen dark brown. - Distribution: hitherto collected in Alpine localities in France, Switzerland, Austria, a rather rare species. New to the fauna of Transylvania (Romania). Localities: Borosjenő (= Ineu, Transylvania), 1 o. Ünőkő (=Virful Ineu, Transylva­nia), i 6. Diachasma Förster, 1862 Diachasma caffer (Wesmael, 1835) Fore half of first tergite subrugulose, its hind half polished. r3 almost effaced, dis­tinct its proximal fourth to fifth. Antenna shorter than body, 26-30 jointed. Body 2.8 mm long. - Distribution: reported from England, Belgium. New to the fauna of Hungary, Slovakia (CSSR) and Transylvania (Romania). A rare species. Localities: Bártfa (= Bardejov, Slovakia), Csergő Mts. , dol. Hertnická, 2 g. Déva (= Deva, Transylvania), 1 6. Miskolc, Lillafüred, 2 g. - V-VI. Diachasma cephalotes (Wesmael, 1835) First tergite granularly-longitudinally rugose. Abdomen distal from third segment compressed laterally (? deformation). - Distribution: up to now obtained in West and Central Europe, a rare species. New to the fauna of Hungary.
