Opius (Cryptonastes) radialis Fischer, 1957 First tergite 1. 7 times as long as wide at hind, hardly broadening behind. Antenna 26 jointed, d vein of fore wing only somewhat longer than n. rec. - according to the original and re-description (FISCHER 1957b, 1973) d 1. 5 times longer than n. rec. The difference of proportional length of the two veins seems worthy to disclose from two viewpoints: 1. Between O. curvatus and O. radialis an essential specific difference is the proportional length of the veins in respect (1. c. ), d vein of O. curvatus only slightly longer, that of O. radialis 1.5 times longer than n. rec. 2. In 1977 M. FISCHER identified the female and male from Hárskút as O. curvatus , the female from Gyulafirátót and the male from Ugod as O. radialis. FISCHER himself is the descriptor both of O. curvatus and O. radialis, so his identification must be considered as authentic. However, I refer every specimen expounded above to O. radialis just on the basis of its description. My opinion is confirmed by the fact that the exemplars are quite identical with each other and they clearly differ from the female paratype of O. curvatus housed in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. By the way I have to point out the only contradiction, namely, the average body length of O. curvatus (1.9-2. 2 mm) is greater than that of O. radialis (1.8 mm) - after Fischer (I.e.); on the other hand the female paratype of O. curvatus is 1. 7 mm, every female and male of O. radialis, named by FISCHER too, is 1. 8-2. 2 mm long. - My conclusion from all these facts compels me to ponder the establishment that O. curvatus and O. radialis are extremely similar to each other, and it is highly necessary to revise the real specific differences between them. - Distribution: recorded its few occurrence in Finland, Austria and Hungary. Localities: Fonyód, 1 g. Gyulafirátót, Kispapod, 1 g. Hárskút, Esztergáli völgy, 1 g and 1 6. Hind margin of mesopleura rather feebly crenulated. First tergite 1. 6 times longer than wide at hind, hardly narrowing anteriorly from spiracles. Body 3. 5-3.7 mm long. Palpi, coxae and trochanters pale yellow, legs yeUow. - Distribution: Denmark, Belgium, new to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: Nagyvisnyó, Elza-lak, ló'. Bártfa (=Bardejov, Slovakia), rez. Becherovská, 2 6'. - VI. Opius (Psyttalia) rhagoleticola Sachtleben, 19 34 Only a single female was obtained in Hungary supposedly at the last two-three decades of the 19th century. Antenna 37 jointed. Second tergite minutely shorter than third one. Body yellow with brownish patterns. - Distribution: ranges in Central Europe and Yugoslavia. It seems a very rare species in Hungary. Locality: Budapest, 1 g. Opius (Frekius) rossicus Szépligeti, 1901, g nova The species was described on the basis of a single male obtained in the European USSR (Russia: Kazan). Hitherto besides this male holotype no further record was listed of it; the holotype is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 2482. - Antenna with 26 (1 g, 1 6) and 28 (1 g) joints. r3 only somewhat longer than r2 (16: 15-14) and only approaches tip of wing. Scutellum rugose to faintly rugulose. Head (in dorsal view) subcubic, 1.8 times broader than long. Notauli reaches mesonotal pit, though gradually shallowing posteriorly. Ovipositor sheath (in lateral view) as long as basitarsus of hind leg. Body black, tergites 2-3 dark rusty, legs yellow. Body 2.2-2.5 mm long (go'). - Distribution: European USSR, new to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: Hosszuhetény, 1 g. Nagyharsány, Szársomlyó, 1 g. Nagykovácsi, 1 6. V-VI. Opius (Apodesmia) rufipes Wesmael, 1835 Propodeum scrobiculate. Antenna 38 jointed. Stigma brown, blackish brown, its outer third faintly pellucid. Second tergite of males variable in colour from fully black to rusty brown or reddish yellow. - Distribution: indicated from several countries of Europe. New to the fauna of Hungary.
