long as broad at spiracle and with 3 longitudinal carinae. Ovipositor sheath (fig. 7) rather stout, with 3 hairs on upper- side. Fore wing (fig. 4) with stigma 4 times as long as broad and 2nd abscissa of radius slightly longer than 1st intercubitus (7:6). Head, including antenna, and thorax dark brown; mouthparts and annellus yeUowish brown. Abdomen dark brown but a little paler than thorax; petiole yel owish brown; apical segment a little paler. Wings hyaline; stigma and veins brown. Legs bro *n, darker dorsally. 6. Unknown. Locality. Central aimak: 126 km N von Ulan-Baator am Wege, 1100 m, 7. VII. 1964 (Nr. 278), 1 o_. The present material agrees weU with St'ary' s redescription and figures (1958) of the species, but the ovipositor sheath is relatively shorter. VII. 1966 (Nr. 693), 1 o The specimens examined agree well with STARY ' s (1958) and TAKADA' s (1968) redescriptions of the species based on European and Japanese material, respectively. The petiole is 2.5 times, or more, as long as broad at spiracle as in the European form, while in the Japanese form the petiole is broader, twice as long as broad. The ovipositor sheath (fig. 9) is as figured. Ephedrus plagiator (Nees) Bracon plagiator Nees, 1811, Mag. Ges. Nat. Fr. Berlin, 5: 17-18. Ephedrus plagiator: Takada, 1968, Ins. Matsum., 30:72-73. The specimens examined agree well with TAKADA's redescription (1968) of the species in all the characters except for the fore wing (fig. 5), of which the 2nd abscissa of radius is distinctly longer than the 1st intercubitus (1.25- 1.32:1). The ovipositor sheath (fig. 8) is as figured. Ephedrus niger Gautier, Bonnamour and Gaumont Ephedrus plagiator Nees var. nigra Gautier, Bonnamour and Gaumont, 1929, Bull. Soc. ent. Temple in dorsal view a little longer than eye (5:4), converging weakly just behind eye; face a little less than 1/2 as broad as head; eye without pubescence. First flageUar segment of antenna 5 times as long as broad at base, 1.3 times as long as the 2nd and with 2 rhinaria. Mesoscutum moderately arched, falling vertically into pronotum and scatteringly hairy alongnotaulus; notaulus distinct and deep on anterior 1/4 and thereafter almost effaced. Propodeum completely and distinctly areolated, with a pentagonal areola rather broad. Petiole 2. 5 times as long as broad at spiracle, almost parallel-sided, strongly rugose but without distinct longitudinal carina. Ovipositor sheath (fig. 10) slender, with 4 hairs on upper side. Fore wing (fig. 6) with stigma 4 times as long as broad and 2nd abscissa of radius as long as 1st intercubitus. Body, including antenna, entirely dark brown; mouth-parts and annellus slightly paler. Wings hyaline; stigma and veins brown. Legs brown, darker dorsally. 6". Unknown. Locality. Central aimak: Ulan-Baator, Nucht im Bogdo ul, 1600 m, 27. VIII. 1965 (Nr. 486), 1
