arched, falling vertically into pronotum, densely hairy almost all over. Petiole (fig. 3) weakly rugose all over, longer than breadth at spiracle (3:2) and with about 30 hairs laterally. Ovipositor sheath (figs. 4a and b) slender, with 2 nail-form short bristles at apex. Fore wing (fig. 6): stigma 3.4 times as long as broad; metacarp 2/3 as long as stigma; radius 2.2 times as long as breadth of stigma; 1st abscissa of cubitus decolored partly; recurrent vein distinct. Dark brown; clypeus and mouth-parts yellowish brown; 2nd tergite basally, suture between 2nd and 3rd tergites, and apical segments brown. Antenna entirely dark brown. Wings hyaline; stigma and veins brown. Legs dirty yellow, darker dorsally. 6 1 . Unknown. In the shape and hair density of the petiole, the structure of the mesoscutum and the number of the antennái segments .the species closely resembles Praon orientale Stary and Schlinger, from which it differs in having the face more sparsely hairy, the ovipositor sheath more slender, the radius of the fore wing relatively shorter, and the antenna and thorax entirely dark brown. 4. VIIL 1975 (No. 311); 1 Q, Za-mo san (60 km NE from Pyongyan), Bek-sung-li, Prov. Pyong-sung, 1-10. VIII. 1975 (No. 331). 7. Monoctonus sp. Specimens examined: lé (head lost), Mt. Pektusan, Mu-do-bong (2100-2200 m), Chann-pay plateau, Prov. Ryang-gang, 25. VII. 1975 (No. 288). o. Mesoscutum moderately arched, faUing vertically into pronotum, scatteringly hairy along notaulix and on lateral side; notaulus distinct only on perpendicular part. Propodeum completely and distinctly areolated, with a pentagonal areola rather broad. Petiole (fig. 2) 2.2 times as long as broad at spiracle, reticulately rugose. Fore wing (fig. 5): stigma 5 times as long as broad; metacarp 1/2.7 as long as stigma; 1st abscissa of radius almost perpendicular to stigma, a little longer than breadth of stigma (12:11). Thorax and abdomen entirely dark brown. Wings hyaline; stigma and veins dark brown. Legs dark brown, a little paler ventrally. ? >. Unknown, n the shape of the petiole and the wing venation this species resembles Monoctonus nervosus (Haliday). But it is unnamed here, since only one headless male specimen is available.
