(Figs. 30-31) The taxon has been known since long as a variety of P. sinua ta (Lafresnaye), be­cause the micro- and macrolabia forms, generally characteristic to the Dermaptera, were usually handled on the "variety" level. Under the above name it was described in detail by several authors, but the genital organ was not studied hitherto. The cere, and the features of the last tergite are in themselves distinct enough for the elevation of the taxon to specific rank.
