FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK (SERIES NOVA) XXXII. 1. 1979 P- 149-175 The Dermaptera in the PAN Zoologiczny Instytut Warszawa By H. STEINMANN (Received November 15, 1978) Abstract: A survey of the Dermaptera material près' rved in the "PAN Zoologiczny Instytut, Warszawa (Poland) is given with an evaluation of the species. Five species: Epilandex basyluki sp. nov. , Pseudochelidura minor sp. nov. , Skalistes colorn biana sp. nov., Doru beybienkoi and D. dohrni sp.nov. are described from Neotropical, Aethiopical, Indo-Australian Faunal Regions and Europe. By the kindness of Dr. Wl. BAZYLUK, I have received for s idy the Dermaptera material of the Zoological Institute and Museum, Warszawa, a princeleas material from all over the world and in which I found also a part of the type-material described by DOHRN. • The holo- and paratypes of the species described by DOHRN in the second Half of the last century were originally deposited in the museum in Stettin; some of it became dispersed by various exchanges and loans and is now untraceable, while the main bulk found its way to Warszawa. The special feature of the DOHRN material is that the species were collected only in few exemplars or small series (or only a few specimens were retained in the collection) and many had probably been given away in exchange, because the material comprises a strikingly great number of species as related to the representing specimens. The present collection has been augmented by certain additions later, but they are easily separable, since the originate from recent years and were captured by Polish workers in the course of various expeditions. A part of the material bears no labels; in the case of some species I was able to infer the faunal region, and I supplied thase specimens with a coloured paper disk indicating the Region according to international usage. These exemplars all bear also the label "Mus, Zool. Polonicum, Warszawa, 12/45", while those presumably identified by DOHRN bear the label "(name), determ. ex coll. Mus. Stettin". As far as the identifications are concerned, they appear to be very old, presumably by DOHRN himself, I have made slides of a male of all species, deposited together with the material in the Warszawa Museum again.
