S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 31/2. (Budapest, 1978)
Body-length: holotype male: 1.35 mm, paratypes: 1. 26 - 1. 65 mm. Holotype male: Tunisia, Monastir, 16 September, 1977, alga settled on stones of pier, netted from debris possibly mixed with human feces, leg. L. and S. Mahunka. - Paratypes: 6 ó, 9 oj data same as for holotype. Thoracochaeta tunisica sp.n. is closely related to T. fittkaui (Remmert, 1955), which was described from Egypt and reported from southern France and the Caroline Is. but latter data need revision. The wings of T. tunisica sp.n. are somewhat longer, its presutural dc bristles are strongly inclinate,its t a-tp section is slightly longer than that of fittkaui, its acmi are more sparse than on fittkaui. Gozmány and Mahunka (No. 46). - A widely distributed, Holarctic species that it is new for Tunisia. Limosina villosa Duda, 1918 - 4 ő, 6 o: El Kef, 28 March, 1977, at light, leg. Embey-Isztin (No. 21); 26: Boughrara, 6 April, 1977, leg. Mahunka (No. 73). - A Mediterranean species, it was recorded as new for Tunisia from the material collected by my colleagues (see PAPP, 1977). Leptocera (Opacifrons) tunisica L. Papp, 1977 - 1 (j>: Oued Mellegue, near Sousse, 18 September, 19 77, leg. L. and S. Mahunka (No. 168). - Described from the material of the first expedition of our colleagues, from Tunisia. Mahunka (No. 182). - A widely distributed, obligately halophilous species. Leptocera curvinervis (Stenhammar, 1854) - 1 o_: Degache, palm plantation, 16 April, 1977, leg. Embey-Isztin, Gozmány and Mahunka (No, 122).
