Discussion: Size medium, surface pilose. Head triangular, postfrontal and coronal sutures distinct; caudal margin sinuate mesad. Eyes small, shorter than genae. Pronotum quadrate or transverse; anterior margin and sides straight, gently widening posteriorly. Tegmina absent or present as narrow lateral flaps on mesonotum. Wings absent. Abdomen gradually dilated from base to 7th tergite. Male forceps trigonal basally, curved apically; female forceps contiguous, tapering. Male genitalia with external parameres longer than broad; tip rounded; inner margin of external paramere with triangular process; genital lobes without virgae. Distribution: Palaearctic and Oriental regions. Identification key to the Palaearctic species 1 (2) Tibiae and femora y eUowish. Inner process of external paramere broad and large at basal section (Fig. 1) angulifera Dohrn 2 (1) Tibiae black, femora uni- or bicolorous. Inner process of external paramere is at middle section (Figs. 2-3). 3 (4) Femora unicolorous, orange or yellowish orange. Genital lobe relatively long and nar­row: inner process of external paramere obtuse, as in Fig. 2 mordax s p. n. 4 (3) Femora bicolorous, yellow basaUy, black apically.
