XH. 1963, lâ (Endró'dy-Younga). Limnogeton Mayr, 1852 Quite large, broad and flattened Belostomatidae, apparently restricted to Africa. The genus is interesting because its most common and wide spread species, Limnogeton fieberi Mayr, is reported to feed exclusively on snails (VOELKER, 1968) which are intermediate hosts of bilharzla (Schistosoma ).
