possible that when we have a longer series of hispanicus £\ow 1 ?, 1 d) and of asiaticus (now only 2 o*) the new species may be drawn in under one of them, or perhaps all three may prove to be one species, and the differences expounded below shall be accepted only as intraspecific variations. Though GREGOR (1971:53) says that further specimens are known of hispanicus from Spain housed in the British Museum, since GREGOR when describing asiaticus received 4 female specimens from PONT in order to be able to compare his supposed new species. I also had the opportunity to examine the 2 types of hispanicus and the paratype of asiaticus. In the following in order to eliminate répétions, I give the deviating characters of the new species only from hispanicus. hispanicus Duda 1. Body length: 2-2.5 mm. 2. Ratio of m3:m 4 = 1:2.5. 3. Brown apical blotch of wing smaller, scarcely extending beyond r4+5. 4. Brown oblique transversal subcostal band only touching discoidal cell. 5. Legs including coxae dark yellow, only t2 and Í3 darker: brownish yellow. confusus sp.n. 1. Body length: 3-3.4 mm. 2. Ratio of m3:ni4= 1:3. 3. Brown apical blotch of wing larger, reaching vein m. 4. Brown oblique transversal subcostal band extending over basal one-third of discoidal cell. 5. Coxae dirty white, pi, ta 2 and ta 3 light yellow Î2 and f 3 dark yellow, but bases yellow, but bases yellowish white, t 2 and t 3 dark brown. Body length: holotypus 3.2 mm, paratypes 3-3.4 mm, alar length: holotypus 3.45 mm, paratypes 3.2-3.6 mm. Holotypus, cf "Afghanistan, Prov. Kabul" "Kabul, Aliabad, 13.6.1974" "No. 148, L.PAPP".Paratypes: 2 o": data as for holotypus; 23 cf, (Gen perep.), 14 °- "Kabul, Darulaman, 1820 m, 18.6. 1974" "No. 159, L.PAPP" (partly preserved in alcohol). SOOS. Á.: Aealyptrás Muscidák (Diptera) Afganisztánból. 11. A szerző Dr. PAPP LÁSZLÓ 1974. évi afganisztáni gyüjfőútjának anyagából a Platystomatidae, Trixocelidiidae és Piophilidae családokba tartozó fajokat ismerteti. A 198 példányt számláló anyag 5 fajhoz tartozónak bizonyult, amelyek közül 3 faj uj a tudományra (Platystoma af ghan i s t a ni c a sp.n., Trixoscelis discolor sp.n. és Mycetaulus confusus sp.n.) és a másik két faj is uj Afganisztán faunájára. Az anyag zömét (152 példány) egy a szerző által éppen most Mongóliából leirt faj, a Trixoscelis mongolica Soós, 1977, valamint egy uj Piophilida faj (40 példány), a Mycetaulus confusus sp.n. alkotta.
