Very closely related to Rogas (s. str.) grandis (Gir.), differing from it in few but specific features: R. grandis (Gir.) R. vicinus sp.n. 1. Outline of head and form of ocelli (in superior view) as shown in Fig. 5. Head behind eye more constricted. Ocelli relatively large and near to each other; distance between hind two ocelli shorter than greatest diameter of an ocellus (10:13, xlOO). Antennái socket or more or less concentrically (rugo-)striated . 2. Distal 10-15 flagellar joints (Co*) distinctly longer than broad, usually 1.3-1.4 times as long as broad. 3. First tergite more subquadrate (Fig. 6), distinctly shorter than wide at hind, ratio of its length to fore and hind width as £ 55-45:40-37:65-58 (x40). 4. Second tergite (Fig. 6.) of female sex more transverse, nearly twice wider than medially long (37-40:65r70, x40). Outline of head and form of ocelli (in superior view) as shown in Fig. 7. Head behind eyes less constricted. Ocelli relatively small and not near to each other; distance between hind two ocelli somewhat longer than (or at most as long as) greatest diameter of an ocellus (15:13, xlOO). Antennái socket smooth or at most with weak rugulo-striation. Distal 10-15 flagellar joints (Ja") cubic or at most subcubic, i.e., as long as or hardly longer than broad. First tergite less subquadrate (Fig. 8), hardly shorter than wide at hind, ratio of Its length to fore and hind width as ?: 45:28-30:50 and é: 50:38:50 (1 6), 38:30:45 (1 6, x40) Second tergite (Fig. 8.) of female sex less transverse, 1.4-1.6 times wider at hind than medially long (34-38:53-55, x40). Additional features. - Body 8-8.5 mm long $.6). Head (in superior view) transverse, nearly twice wider (between eyes) than long (52-53:27, x40). Compound eye (in lateral view) as wide as temple, both widths measured at the same level (namely at the widest part of eye). Face 1.5 times broader than high, inner orbit somewhat converging below. Head sculptured, face rugose, vertexocciput-tempora subrugose to rugulose-alutaceous, subshlny. Antenna hardly longer than body, 60 jointed (holotype, further types with damaged antenna). Proportional size of thoracic length: width: height as 65:30:45 (?o*', x25). Mesonotum and scutellum dull, otherwise thorax shiny to subshiny. Parapsldes evenly deep, with fine crenulae (xlOO). Mesonotum and scutellum very densely coriaceous,
