Kaszab in der Mongolei By V. A. RICHTER (Received April 2, 1975) Abstract: Faunistical data of 10 Dasypogoninae (Diptera: Asilidae) species collected in Mongolia by Dr. Z. KASZAB. Cryptopogon popovi LEHR is new in the fauna of Mongolia, only one female specimen was known so far from Kazakhstan. Description of male is given. Some robber-flies of the subfamily Dasypogoninae have been recorded from Mongolia during last years due to Mongolisch-Deutschen Biologischen Expedition (MOUCHA 3s HRADSKY: 1966) and the Joint Sovj et-Mongolian complex biological expedition (RICHTER: 1970, 1972, 1973, 1974). The materials of expeditions of Dr. Z. KASZAB to Mongolian People's Republic (1964, 1967, 1968) contain no Laphriinae and 50 specimens of Dasypogoninae which belong to 10 species. One of them - Cyrtopogon popovi LEHR is for the first time found in Mongolia. This species was described from Northern Kasakhstan on one female. The male is briefly described in this paper. The additional data on labels are published in the papers of Dr. Z. KASZAB (1965a, 1968a, b). I owe my hearty thanks to Dr. Z. KASZAB for kindly sending me his valuable materials for study.
