Silphidae und Liodidae (Coleoptera) By V. M. EMETZ (Received 10 November, 1974) Abstract: Elaboration and revision of families Silphidae and Liodidae on the ma­terial collected by Dr. Z. KASZAB in Mongolia (1963-1968), complete with fau­nistical data. The more than 5000 Silphidae belong to 17 species, two species are new to the fauna of Mongolia. Author revises and synonymizes all of the26Liodid species, identified or described by HLISNIKOVSKÍ in 1964-67. As a resultof this revision a total of 15 species are discussed from Mongolia of which 6 are new to the country. SILPHIDAE I had the possibility to study more than 5000 specimens of Silphidae collected by Dr. Z. KASZAB in Mongolia. There are 17 species two of which is new for Mongolia. 1. Necrodes littoralis (LINNAEUS, 1758) Central aimak: 126 km N von Ulan-Baator, am Wege, 1100 m, 9. VH. 1964 (Nr. 289). - 1 specimen. Transpalaearctic species.
