Discoidal cell of hind wing approximately in midd­le part of membrane (Fig. 42). - Type-species: maclachlani STEIN, 1874. The single known species of the genus living in West and Central Europe and on the Balkan. Chaetopterygopsis STEIN, 1874 4 (3) Tip of dorsal part of eighth tergite not elongated and not forming a roof above apical opening. 5 (6) Apical margin of eighth tergite decorated with a protruding spine. - Type-spe­cies: abchazia MARTYNOV, 1916. Both known species living in the Caucasus ( kelensis MARTYNOV, 1926). Chaetopterygella MARTYNOV, 1916 6 (5) On apical margin of eighth tergite a protruding spine absent. 7 (8) Dorsal part of ninth tergite thickened, forming a protruding plate. On surface of wings bristles present only upon veins. Discoidal cell of fore wing long, longer than basal part of lateral branch of radial vein (Fig. 43). Fourth endfork on hind wing developed. Type-speeies: psorosa KOLENATI, 1860 (Chaetopteryx) . All species European: albanica PONGRACZ, 1923 (Albania), carpathica SCHMID, 1952 (Carpathians), psorosa KOLENATI, 1860 (Chaetopteryx) (Silesia, Galicia and Slovakia) Psilopteryx STEIN, 1874 8 (7) Dorsal part of ninth tergite not thickened, not formind a protruding plate . 9 (10) Bristles present on surface of membrane, but not extending into venation. ­Type-species: zimmeri MACLACHLAN, 1876 (Psilopteryx). Only a single spe­cies known, lovong in Switzerland, Germany, Czeschoslovakia and Poland Pseudopsilopteryx S CHMID, 1952 10 (9) Bristles on surface of membrane found not only on wing-cells but also on vene­tion. Fore wings short, cells wide (Fig. 45); brownish-red, with or without pattern. Hind wing wide, discoidal ceU relatively small (Fig. 46). - Type-spe­cies: villosa FABRICIUS, 1798 (Pryganea).
