3 (2) Tibial spurs: 1, 3, 4. Radial vein of fore wing not broken before its end, although well discernibly arcuate, but not joining subcosta with a cross-vein. Discoidal cell long, narrow, longer than basal part of lateral branch of radial vein (Fig. 29). Hind ving comparatively wide, discoidal cell long and very narrow. Endforks: 1, 2, 3, 5 (Fig. 30). - Type-species: picicomis PICTET, 1834 (Phryganea). Only the type-species known (North West and central Europe) Parachiola THOMSON, 1891 4 (1) Stylus of tiridial cell of fore wing very short, of absent. Alar expanse more than 25 mm. 5 (8) Anterior vein of discoidal cell of fore wing arcuate (Fig. 31). Tibial spurs of males: 0, 3, 4, those of females 1, 3, 4. 6 (7) Hind wing extremely wide, almost twice as wide as fore wing (Fig. 31-32). On fore wing second endfork usually developed. First tarsal joint of fore tibial of male longer than second. - Type-species: aspersus R AMBUR, 1842 (Limnephila). In Europe, only its type-species occurs in southern and south-eastern regions. Mesophylax MACLACHLAN, 1882 7 (6) Hind wing narrower, at most one and a half times wider than fore wing (Figs. 33-34). On fore wing second endfork usually not developed.
